A HOUSE IN THE HILLS
THE BACK STORY
Talk about a baptism by fire! This first project was as challenging as it gets. Inhabited by a hoarder, one neighbour swears she saw the same bed sheet hanging on the Hills Hoist for a decade. We removed most of the walls and were able to save the original floorboards. The yard looked like a scene from Mad Max so we laid down loads of green turf with a white (not-quite-picket) fence and built a basic timber deck to add much needed colour and texture to the bleak landscape.
