BUDGET BREAKDOWN
We’re very excited to announce that this is the FIRST TIME EVER that we’ve come in under budget! #popthebubbles
With a total budget of $10k and final costs of $8965, we came in with over $1000 to spare. This even included a few splurges! Here’s how the total budget looked:
OUR SPLURGES
The biggest cost by far was the $3k in labour for our painters. We leave the big jobs to the experts, but you could certainly DIY at home to save the money. And then there was the $1,240 on the new sink… take those items out and we’d be down to under $5k!
OUR SAVINGS
Check out the price of the stools! We found these beauties at Kmart for only $70 #bargainbasement
Lucky for us, the kitchen floor was fine as it was and didn’t need updating, which saved costs on both paint and labour. A good tip to remember if you’re trying this at home on a budget – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
