We're on the hunt for an amazing Construction Project Manager to help run our renovations. You need to be brilliant at running a tight timeline, managing budgets and dealing with loads of different people. We’re looking for someone who copes well under pressure and has an awesome can-do attitude. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
IN A NUTSHELL…
We are looking for someone who is super-organised and has a high attention to detail (both key ingredients when running renovations). You also need to be a confident and clear communicator to effectively manage many different stakeholders. Ideally you are passionate about renovating and must have had experience in both renovating and also multi-layered project management. BUT …. if you want to be a designer, choosing colours and cushions, this isn’t the role for you. All that design stuff sits with our fabulous creative team – who you will work with closely.
THE SUCCESSFUL CHICK (OR ROOSTER!) WILL BE TASKED WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR:
Autonomously project manage multiple Three Birds projects from concept to completion.
Work closely with our Head of Construction to ensure effective communication on project updates, troubleshooting and progress.
Engage and manage the project builder and third party contractors to agreed timelines and key deliverables.
Prepare and submit council applications and follow through to approval.
Create and manage construction project budgets.
Create and manage builder tender packs, scope of works and contractor briefs.
Ensure all work is carried out on time, in full and with accuracy.
Participate in regular onsite meetings with builders, contractors and our suppliers for all critical components of the construction.
Work with the Marketing team to ensure the content production schedule (ie – all the fun videos we make) is aligned to the renovation timeline and manage plans to execute capture onsite as required.
Work with our Partnerships team to manage the onboarding and implementation of Partner products in a consistent, efficient manner to assist in ongoing relationship management and retention.
Work closely with our Creative Team in managing timing and execution of design elements onsite.
Carry out all projects in accordance with the TBR Safety in Design requirements.
Have a keen interest in content creation and participate in scheduling and capturing ongoing and ad-hoc footage for our platforms (via film crew or go-pro as required).
And last but not least, you’ll need to be comfortable in front of the camera (no shrinking violets here 😉). Our film crew are regularly onsite and we’ll need you ready, willing and able to perform your project management role while the cameras are rolling and sometimes even explain to our audience what’s going on with the renovation. It’s essential that you have proven experience project managing a number of your own or other people’s renovations. Multi-layered Project Management experience is also essential.
We're looking for someone who will love working with the Three Birds family so you'll need to be, passionate, have an open attitude to change and be super agile. And of course, love to have a bit of fun! You also need to be cool under pressure as the renovation site can sometimes get a bit cray-cray (so can our office come to think of it).
The role is a permanent full time position. You must be available for ‘tradie hours’ when required ie. 7am starts onsite, as well as traditional business hours. Your time will be split between WFH, the varied job sites in the Sydney Metro area and our office in Dural.
