QUICK & EASY CHRISTMAS CRAFT IDEAS YOU’LL LOVE
BY BONNIE
Hey gang, these Christmas craft hacks we used to style my barn for the festive season were easy as plum pie (and effective too, we think!) so, we wanted to share them with you. Even if you’re no Martha Stewart, we don’t think you’ll struggle with these.
Hula Hoop
Hangings
Hang on your front door as a wreath, or on walls throughout your home.
You’ll need:
+ A hula hoop – any size you like is fine!
+ A spray can of Dulux Duramax Bright Finish spray paint (we chose gold)
+ Tie wire – from a garden shop or hardware store
+ Greenery – we raided the garden for branches. Hardy tree foliage will last longer than flowers and soft greenery
Then:
Spray the Hula hoop/s with paint, leaving to dry as per instructions. Attach the greenery using tie wire.
VOILA! YOU’RE DONE.
Wrapped Cushions
Dress up your sofa for the festive season.
You’ll need:
+ Your favourite cushion, or any other that suits your colour scheme
+ Muslin material
Then:
Cut muslin in strips long enough to wrap around the cushion. Tie it around the cushion, like a present, finishing off with a bow.

Pine Cone Decorations
Pop them on your tree for a bit of bling.
You’ll need:
+ Pine cones
+ A spray can of Dulux Duramax Bright Finish spray paint (choose a metallic colour)
Then:
Spray the pine cones and pop them in your tree.
THAT’S IT! A PIECE OF (CHRISTMAS) CAKE!
DIY Wreath
This sustainable wreath won’t last longer than the Christmas season but pull off the leaves when the day is done and reuse the wire wreath next year!
You’ll need:
+ A wire wreath and tie wire – both from a garden shop or hardware store
+ Greenery
Then:
Attach the greenery to the wire wreath using the tie wire.
HANG AND ADMIRE!
We’d love to see your Christmas craft creations! Post them on Instagram and tag #threebirdsrenovations to share the love xxx
