HOW BON CREATED THE PERFECT LITTLE GIRLS ROOM
Lana's daughter Ruby is 9 years old so when designing her room Bon wanted to make it girlie but not too girlie. Here’s how Bon did it…
Ruby’s room was previously a home office. To create her ultimate bedroom, the first thing we did was make the space a little bit larger by taking some floor space from above the exterior stairs.
We also framed out her wardrobe so we could use second-hand doors which Lana got from eBay cheap and chips and then had Peachy our painter paint and then rag off to create a rustic looking white wash.
Lana's inspo for the doors really came from this shot she found on Pinterest and we are absolutely thrilled with the way they came up.
Bon created the room with a gritty pretty vibe in mind. It was designed to suit a tween but also feel like a space she can grow into. Bon had so much fun creating this space... #shehas4boys
To create the look, we started off by painting the walls and ceiling in Dulux Lexicon Half which is a cool white. Then to add texture and softness we added a feature wall of this beautiful soft pink wall paper by Grace Garrett.
Once the wall paper and wardrobe doors were installed Bon picked pieces which worked with these elements. Bon chose a gorgeous double bed from Freedom and styled it with their new bed linen range. How cute are the little bows on the duvet cover?
When styling the bed Bon went for lots of texture. Starting off with white euro pillows then adding woven pillows with details and faux fur to finish it off. Bon then added double duvet covers for a bit of luxury and then topped it off with a throw which had gold metallic detail.
