5 REASONS WHY WE'VE GOT SERIOUS WARDROBE ENVY
BY LANA
We always knew that the gorgeous Sophie Bell was super stylish, but it wasn’t until we saw her wardrobe in full, hanging glory that we realised just how in love with her unique sense of style we are.
The thing is, this lil’ lady just exudes cool vibes… and she makes it look totally effortless. So, when it came to designing her dream walk-in-wardrobe, I knew it would be a goodie.
Prepare to be WOWed guys, we think you’re going to love this robe. Here’s what we’re crushing on:
The arched entryway
Even the entryway into Soph’s wardrobe is to die for. It’s tall and wide and sets the tone for what’s to come inside. And the details… oh the details… the pink crosses were hand painted onto the textured rendered arch by Sophie’s clever Mum. How did one family get so much creative talent?!
The bench seat
It’s built in, it wraps around and it’s scattered with the most glorious faux fur and Grace Garrett cushions. The macramé pendant light, from Beacon Lighting!! #walkdontrun, and Jai Vasicek print hanging above take this bench seat to the next level. #benchseatgoals
Bench seats are a great addition to any walk-in-robe, usually used to throw the clothes you haven’t quite got ‘round to putting away on, or to sit while you’re struggling to pull on your hottest, but most impractical pair of boots.
But with a bench seat this large and luxe, there’s more than enough room for Soph and her girlfriends to pop the bubbly and get ready for a night out together too. And did we mention Soph’s husband rendered it to give a gorge textured finish, fits perfectly with the Mediterranean vision board.
Colour-coded clothing
At my place, the struggle to find matching socks is real! Let alone a whole wardrobe full of clothes and accessories that match perfectly and look like styling items! Seriously, I didn’t even know this level of coordination existed.
And it seems that Mr Bell also has an impeccable wardrobe of white, earthy linen to match, so his side of the robe definitely doesn’t let this room down! #twinning #coupleswhodresstogetherstaytogether
Herringbone flooring
You heard it here, herringbone is hot! It’s more expensive than traditional boards, so we usually save it for special areas, like foyers… and Sophie’s wardrobe. Not many wardrobes would usually fall into the ‘special areas’ category, but this one certainly does and the herringbone floor by Woodcut really looks the shizzle in this space.
Storage galore
The good news… this wardrobe has so much storage and it looks freakin’ fabulous.
The even better news… it’s from IKEA, baby! So, it didn’t break the bank. This is the PAX wardrobe system and you’ll be totally spoilt for choosing the right combo of hanging vs drawers vs folding vs glass display cases.
Sophie’s sunglass collection alone was worthy of several display drawers. Which I’m wondering if she’s now regretting, because all her designer glasses are right there on show for us to try on – first up, best dressed, right Soph? #snoozeyoulose
There’s also the cutest little rattan cabinet in full view of the entryway that’s the perfect mix of practical and pretty. It’s got a display shelf for perfume and precious things and hidden shelf space for other accessories.
So, there it is! Were you WOWed, like we were?
